About the Role
In this role, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of the mechanical design across our product portfolio. You will work hands‑on with product innovation, design improvements, and problem‑solving, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards in performance, durability, and compliance.

You will be part of the R&D Hardware team, working cross-functionally and collaborating with colleagues in R&D, production, and product management.

The position can be based in Gothenburg, Björbo, or Malaga and reports to the Manager R&D Hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mechanical designs for our products.

• Drive mechanical design work within assigned development projects.

• Lead investigation and root-cause analysis for mechanical product deviations and maintenance issues.

• Evaluate existing technology and product functionality, proposing improvements where needed.

• Assess and explore new technologies within the mechanical field.

• Support NPI activities, including first builds and debugging.

• Execute design testing of mechanical components.

• Plan, set up, and carry out mechanical compliance testing.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a self‑driven and proactive team player with solid experience in mechanical engineering and a strong technical foundation. You take initiative, work hands‑on, and contribute effectively both independently and in close collaboration with cross‑functional teams. You approach complex challenges with a structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset. Your communication skills enable you to contribute clearly in a dynamic environment and support sound technical decision‑making.

Key qualifications include:

• MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Several years of experience in mechanical design for embedded systems.

• Experience with one or more of the following areas is an advantage:

  • Injection molding

  • Chemical regulations

  • LVD

  • Functional safety

  • Sustainability

  • Electronics

  • Mechanical testing, IP ratings, drop testing, etc.

• Knowledge of SolidWorks and Jira is meritorious.

• Fluent in English, Swedish skills are a plus

• Category B driving license
