Lead and secure Allgon’s global IT infrastructure across our international organization.
Allgon is looking for a Group IT Infrastructure Lead in Gothenburg to take full responsibility for our IT infrastructure, combining strategic leadership with hands-on expertise.

The IT department are a dedicated team of eight colleagues, bringing together developers, support specialists, and integration experts. Right now, we are in an exciting phase where we are structuring and centralizing our IT services to better support the entire Allgon organization on a global scale. About the Role
As Group IT Infrastructure Lead at Allgon, you will take full responsibility for planning, managing, and developing our group-wide IT infrastructure. This includes both strategic leadership—shaping our infrastructure roadmap, driving standardization across subsidiaries, and strengthening IT security—as well as hands-on operations. You will play a key role in ensuring our IT platforms and services are reliable, secure, and scalable, while coordinating with local IT teams and external vendors. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day operational impact. The position is located at the head office in Gothenburg and you are expected to be able to work on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain a global IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with business and security needs
- Lead and support infrastructure projects across subsidiaries and entities
- Coordinate with local IT leads to ensure platform consistency, compliance, and efficiency
- Manage day-to-day operations of servers, storage, virtualization, and backup platforms
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for escalated incidents and critical issues
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and related systems
- Oversee patching, monitoring, and performance/availability strategies
- Monitor and manage endpoint protection, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Maintain and improve LAN/WAN, VPN, and remote access configurations
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and hardware/software procurement
- Evaluate, negotiate, and oversee support agreements, licensing, and renewals
- Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled IT infrastructure leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on expertise. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in infrastructure, networking, and security, with proven experience in managing complex environments across multiple sites or subsidiaries. You are a proactive problem-solver who can translate business needs into robust IT solutions, ensuring reliability, compliance, and scalability.
Equally important, you bring excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels—from local IT teams to senior management. You are comfortable leading change, managing vendors, and scaling solutions in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous situations. A structured yet flexible mindset, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to inspire trust and alignment across teams will be key to your success.
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure/system administration, ideally in global or multi-site environments
- Expertise in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, virtualization, storage, and backup systems
- Experience with vendor and contract management
- Strong knowledge of IT security tools, monitoring, and compliance frameworks
- Fluent in English and Swedish, with excellent communication and documentation skills
